F.R.I.E.N.D.S

FRIENDS is a show about six twenty-something friends (Rachel Green, Monica and Ross Geller, Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, and Joey Tribbiani) living in New York. The series focuses on their everlasting relationships.

Since it's premiere in 1994, it has recieved 44 emmy nominations.The cast won a Screen Actors Guild Award in 1996 for Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series and has been nominated four times (1996, 1997, 1998, 2002) for a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy. Friends won the Peoples Choice Award for Favorite New Comedy Series in its first season, and has since won three more times as Favorite Comedy Series.

Most recently, Jennifer Aniston was awarded the Golden Globe award for best sctress in a comedy series. Matt Leblanc was nominated for the best actor in a comedy series. (He should've won.)

During the nine great seasons, we have watched as these friends have grown and matured into wonderful young people with just the right amount of humor.

The characters:

Joey Tribbiani is a struggling actor with a good heart. Joey comes from a large italian family. Some of his interests include; baywatch, porn, sandwiches, sex and most of all, spending time with his friends.

Rachel Green comes from a wealthy family. She was once engaged to Barry, but left him at the altar. At one time, Rachel married Ross, but they were soon divorced. She recently had a baby with Ross named Emma.

Monica Geller was once an overweight girl with a huge crush on Chandler. After she lost weight, Monica moved in with Phoebe. They shared an apartment until Rachel moved in with her. Monica got married to Chandler and they are currently trying to have a baby.

Ross Geller has been married three times. He was first married to Carol but they divorced after she came out as a Lesbian. Then he was married to Emily but they got divorced because he refused to stop being friends with Rachel. While drunk in Las Vegas, Ross accidentily married Rachel but they too were divorced. He and Rachel recently had their baby, Emma.

Chandler Bing is a sarcastic guy with a lot of charm. When he was younger, his father moved out to open a gay strip club called Viva Las Gaygas. Chandler is now married to Monica.

Phoebe Buffay is a very down to earth women. Although she is always very happy, her life wasn't always so great. When she was little, her stepmom committed suicide. Then her father abandoned her when she was young and she is estranged from both her real mom and her twin sister, Ursula.

Together, these six people make up the show we all know and love, FRIENDS. (The real cast includes, Jennifer Aniston, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Courteney Cox Arquette.)
